John Hoge of Hoge Lumber from New Knoxville, Ohio, and Frank Zhao, founder of Longmarch in Shanghai, have been friends and business partners since the China bowling booming period in the 1990's.
When Longmarch started its bowling ball manufacturing venture in 2006, soon after it could make some decent quality balls, Frank decided to make this ball for John.
